Lydia’s Story (as dictated to Mama)
I was born in Nanjing, China. I lived for a long time at a home for children and with my foster “grandpa”.
My Papa & Mama came to China last year to get me and bring me home. I like my new home. I do not like school. I stay with Mama now during the day while MeiMei (Gwen) is at school. She teaches me to write letters.
My Papa wears dotted clothes (note by Mama: Papa wears an Army uniform) and works away. We go see him when he does not come home.
